Description
We are seeking a talented memory care nurse and a supervisor who has the desire to learn and lead. This person will provide leadership to our overnight associates, manage clinical documentation and develop staff. This position is a pivotal nurse who will lead the team in active participation at night to ensure our neighborhood is ready for the start of the day.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general direction of the Resident Care Director, this person will provide direct supervision of the overnight associates in our memory care neighborhood.

Clinical Management:

Responsible for the clinical operations of the neighborhood during the overnight shift.
Provides direct supervision of nursing, and other patient care providers and support staff.
Provides direction and coordination during emergency situations.
Supports staff during times of difficult transitions and change.
Ability to identify risk management issues and consults with appropriate resources when necessary.
Associate Management:

Facilitates problem solving and conflict resolution with the staff.
Participates in the evaluation of the clinical competency of staff.
Assists with coordination of new employee orientation.
Shows respect for the individual, concern for employee education and career development, and provides an atmosphere in which employees are encouraged to be creative and independent.

Leadership and Professional Development:

Leadership style should demonstrate effective communication skills, organization commitment, customer orientation, team orientation, and flexibility.
Exhibit a professional approach/demeanor.
Utilizes team approach whenever possible and encourages staff.
Performance Improvement:

Promotes interdepartmental/intradepartmental communication.
Promotes a non-punitive reporting environment and engages with associates to encourage growth and development.
Ability to articulate and take action in support resident satisfaction and safety goals.
Displays superior customer relations and proactively identifies and responds to patient and family needs.
Supports implementation of staff education plans.
